How do I give a client or an operative backend access?

Giving an operative or client backend access is extremely easy, and this is conducted in the very beginning when creating the contact information. The process is the same for operatives and clients, however for this demonstration we will be adding an operative. When you gain access to Virtual Case Management you will notice a menu to the left, choose Operatives and open its submenu picking the last option, “Add New”. See the diagram below.

Once you click “Add New”…you will be taken to a new screen allowing you to enter in information on the operative (investigator, process server, security guard…etc).

To the right you will notice a section asking if the operative can login, and if you grant access there is a section for adding the users name and password. See the diagram below.

NOTE: When adding an operative or client representative Virtual Case Management internally knows what rights to allow. Operatives only get access to cases that were assigned to them and Client Representatives only have access to their cases. When generating case logs the end user also has the ability to only allow certain notes to be viewed. This allows clients or operatives to review the status of a case yet hides trade secrets from being released.
