Q: Is Virtual Case Management™ a web based solution or can I purchase it?
A: Virtual Case Management™ offers both a web based solution (we host) and a local hosting solution (you host), both can be web accessed or just locally. VCM is not for sale but leased on a monthly basis. See the pricing tab for further details.
Q: How do you secure and encrypt the data that transfers back and forth?
A: If we host VCM we provide you a user name, password and a URL to access the software. All user names and passwords are protected by 256bit encryption and accessed via biometrics. We use a SSL 256bit certificate to encrypt data that transfers back and forth…much like your bank does. If you host VCM we suggest purchasing your own SSL certificate for your server.
Q: How soon can I be up and running with VCM?
A: Within minutes you can start organizing your office and investigations, just go to www.virtualcasemanagement.com and sign-up. There is a 10 minute wizard tutorial you need to complete asking pertinent information into your company…i.e. company name, address, telephone numbers, letterhead margins, logo, language…etc. However if you host VCM on your sever it will take longer.
Q: If I host VCM on my server how long would it take to be up and running?
A: Once our development team confirms you have an adequate server and they get access to your server via the Internet, along with charging you the appropriate setup fees…normally within a few hours.
Q: What languages is VCM available in?
A: Currently English and Spanish only however there are plans to roll out 2 additional languages in early 2008.
Q: If I host VCM on my server what are the server requirements?
A: Recommended requirements: Dual Core Intel® Pentium D 925, 2x2MB Cache, 3.0GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2GB DDR2, 667MHz, Intel® PRO Copper Gigabit PCI Express NIC Card, and 4 HD’s (Hard drives) in a Raid 5 configuration. Size of the hard drives is up to you. Software requirements are Microsoft Server 2003 or higher & SQL Server 2003 or higher. You can also use SBS 2003 (Small Business Server) which incorporates SQL into SBS.
Q: How many cases can I open?
A: Take a look at the pricing tab for the platinum version is unlimited cases.

A: As many as you want with the ability to attach any type of data (pictures, video, audio, documents…etc) to the specific subject.
